About the Movement
About the Movement:
Overseas Filipinos / Overseas Filipino Workers – the absentee voters under the mandate of Philippine Constitution and the R.A. 9189 known as the Absentee Voting Act of 2003 has been given the right to choose our leaders in the coming 2010 national election. We the OFWs/OF who fought the long awaited right of suffrage for 15 long years are now given a hand to select the next leaders in our beloved motherland. This right includes the privilege of being the masters to those who will be given the hand in the governance of our homeland.
Therefore, WE , Filipinos in diaspora who have been given the free hand to choose the right leaders in our country is building on a movement to support a Filipino leader that could bring the voice of the Filipinos overseas in our agenda for OFW Recognition and Empowerment.
The convenor of this movement believed that only one leader can unite the country towards prosperity; bring true changes to our country; and lead us into a new born nation by doing what is right and good for the Filipino people.
Thus the OFW for Noynoy for President Movement (OFW4Noy24 PresidentMovement) is born.
Overseas Filipino Workers/Overseas Filipinos are proud and honored to pledge our support to Noynoy Aquino, for not only what he stands for “GAWIN ANG TAMA” (To Do What is Right) but also for “Ninoy and Cory’s” fight for CHANGE in which NoyNoy truly represents.
We urge fellow OFWs/Overseas Filipinos, your relatives and friends at home to join our movement in supporting NoyNoy by encouraging others to vote for HIM as the next President of the Republic of the Philippines.
“Gawin Natin ang Tama” mga kahanay ng Mangagawang Pilipino saan man dako sa Mundo – “ iluklok si NoyNoy sa Malacanang 2010 . “

Dear Beth,
What you mean – ongoing registration? Registration for Overseas Absentee Voters? If OAV, I am sorry to inform you that it ended last August 31 as per Comelec ruling.
You can start forming the Noy2 for President Movement in your area, or perhaps NoyMar tandem, whatever the group decides. Just have all the group activities be recorded as well as list of names of the would be members of your group. I would appeciate if you can forward to me the group activites, photos for posting in our blog, the “OFW4Noy24President Movement”. By the way OFW means Overseas Filipinos Worldwide (for those Filipino Immigrants) or Overseas Filipino Workers (Overseas Filipino Workers-Contract Workers).
You can start forming the group but dont start campaigning yet, because it is against Comelec rules even we are outside Philippine soil, the campaign period will start February 9, 2010 until May 8, 2010.
If your group wants to contibute for Noynoy campaign fund, just click “Join our Crusade, HELP NOYNOY” found in the sidebar of this blog or click “Tuloy PNoy” link for more information.
Thank you.
